Cookie Policy

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

The short version

This website does not use cookies. Not for analytics, not for advertising, not for sessions, not for anything else. That is not a policy aspiration, it is a measurement: the site was loaded in a clean browser and everything it stored was recorded, and the result was zero cookies, first-party and third-party alike.

What we do store on your device

Your theme choice. If you press the day and night button, your browser saves that choice in its local storage under the name theme. It holds one word, light or dark. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, it is created only when you press the button, and clearing your browser data removes it.

That is the entire list. No other value is written to your device by this website.

Analytics, without cookies

We use Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool that we host ourselves. It writes no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and uses no persistent identifier to follow you between visits. A page view sends the page address and title, the referring address, your screen size and your browser language. As with any request to any website, your IP address and browser user-agent reach the server that receives it. We do not use them to identify you.

Bot protection on our forms

Our subscribe and contact forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a script. It runs inside its own frame and sets no cookie on this website. It loads only on pages that carry a form.

What never runs here

No Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Google Fonts, no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no social media widget. Our heading font is served from our own domain rather than fetched from Google. Google Search Console is a webmaster tool that tells us how our pages appear in search results; it receives no data about you from this site.

Why there is no cookie banner

A consent banner exists to ask permission before storing or reading something on your device that is not needed to deliver what you asked for. We store nothing of that kind. The only stored value is the theme preference above, created because you pressed the button that creates it. So there is nothing to consent to, and we do not interrupt you to ask.

More detail

Section 5 of our Privacy Policy covers this in full, alongside what happens to your email address if you subscribe and which providers process data on our behalf. Questions are welcome at contact[@]cyberrecaps[.]com.
