Cyber Recaps stands on the work of open news outlets and official security-data providers. Here is everyone we rely on, credited in full.
News sources
Every story in the daily briefing links directly to the original reporting it is based on — you will find the source outlet credited at the bottom of each recap. Those links are the canonical source for the news itself.
Official security-data providers
To keep the technical details accurate, we enrich each recap with facts pulled from authoritative, publicly available security databases rather than relying on an AI’s memory:
NVD — National Vulnerability Database (NIST)
CVE descriptions and CVSS severity scores used to ground our vulnerability recaps.
This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog
Confirms which vulnerabilities are actively exploited in the wild, and which are used in ransomware.
EPSS — Exploit Prediction Scoring System (FIRST.org)
Probability that a given vulnerability will be exploited, used for context and prioritization.
Where any of this data is rewritten into plain-language recaps, the wording is ours — the providers above supply the underlying facts and do not endorse or certify our content.
